Chess Club meetings on Friday are paused till October.

Louisiana State Championship was held Labor Day Weekend with 45 players attending in Lafayette. Lafayette Chess Club had 9 players participate and our players rated under 1000 dominated their section. Well Done!

Lafayette Chess Club welcomes beginner and experienced players. Our club endeavors to create a friendly, relaxed atmosphere that encourages fun and learning. Our more experienced players work with the beginners to teach them chess etiquette, strategy, and the fundamentals of chess. Come check us out.

Great turn out for this months event. many really good games. Participation is growing. Thanks Chess Players. Keep up the practice...Alvin and Waleed each scored 2 and 1/2 points out of 3., Dylan Cormier and Stewart Krielow tied for 1st with 1 and 1/2 points out of 3 in the under 1000/UNR section.
