May 7th club tournament @Sidewinder on 107 Commission Blvd was a success. Jace Etienne won the event with 3 wins and 0 losses. Roland Bennett and Tommy LeBlanc tied for second. under 1600 was a tie for first with Hershel Slaton and Wayne Broussard taking the honors. GraTz

May 14th, Andrew Broussard and Aaron Horton played in the Louisiana Scholastic Championship. both players scored a respectable 3 wins and 2 losses. great result for first tournament. Keep up the good work!

Lafayette Chess Club welcomes beginner and experienced players. Our club endeavors to create a friendly, relaxed atmosphere that encourages fun and learning. Our more experienced players work with the beginners to teach them chess etiquette, strategy, and the fundamentals of chess. Come check us out.
